Experience

My new Moto from Google project Fi is great because the plan saves me a bit each month. I love to save.

When I ordered the cell phone online I put my Google Voice number on my new phone.

This way I could use it as soon as it arrived. Really it was more convenient.

After the phone arrived I charged the battery and got busy.

Updated software

Next I installed the patches to be safe and secure.

It worked great ?

Then I wanted to Port my old number from Virgin Mobile.

I’m not Virgin 🙂

I thought it would be easy to port the number however, in my case it turned out to be 3 steps.

Takes quite a while but it’s not the end of the world. I just wish I knew prior to ordering the phone.

My VM lesson learned

The account number is required to port the existing number and it’s not the phone number.

This is hidden from view online so I called to ask the friendly VM support team.

After they verified my details I had my 9 nine digit account number.

Next I typed the account number into my Moto device to begin the port processing.

It was quick. Finally Fi.
