This idea is story time

My scenario is real however the names have been changed to protect the guilty and innocent.

Innocent people need protection. Right?

I grew up in Vegas similar to the character in my story. When I lived here it was a small town with a few houses and schools. It’s different today.

They say “what happens” oh never mind. We know that’s not true. October changed things a lot. But I don’t want to talk about the news or the pain.

It’s about the past a reckless trip to Vegas.

On to this crazy story. It begins with a guy in a casino. He’s married and takes his wife out to eat. They enjoy buffet dining. What’s his name?

Let’s call him Rich.

Rich lived in denial for years. He thought the ATM was his friend but I’m getting ahead of the action.

Rich walks into a casino. He is young so young in fact he doesn’t understand what happens next. At 21 life has been easy for him.

A stranger is yelling. “Why did you do that”? So loud it gets everyone’s attention. A lady is standing still almost in shock. She looks at the man face to face and again.

“Why did you do that?” She doesn’t reply. Standing still looking sad almost hurt. Perhaps guilty, who knows if she is or the man shouting?

A small child speaks up. “Why is he yelling at my Mommy?”

I don’t know so I keep walking. Hotel security will sort it out I guess.

Rich thinks he’s going to the buffet anyway. Food is more important to him than strangers. He didn’t understand the ‘Love your neighbor as yourself ‘ part he read years ago. He’s in denial about this and many things.

After dinner Rich plays. He calls it playing but it’s not fun for anyone else.

He lost. Another reckless trip. Out of cash he goes to the ATM.

Access denied. What? No cash bummer. Time to go ask friends for cash. They’re wise to Rich. People don’t give cash to a reckless gambler.

He asks for loans but no way not this time.

Disappointed he goes home. He wants his wife to pay the bill.

Or if his wife is wise she will not enable his risky, reckless behavior.
